What is hypnotherapy?
Hypnosis is an altered but completely natural state of consciousness which you can enter into for therapeutic purposes so that beneficial suggestions may be given directly to your unconscious mind. The ‘deeper’ you relax the more you are able to deal with your condition effectively. While you are relaxed the right hand side of the brain which is associated with imagination becomes very active and can be guided to change your perceptions which can then help you meet most challenges. How long does it take to work?
Everyone responds to Hypnotherapy and Self-Hypnosis differently, just as people do to any form of therapy. Some people can recognise instant change while for others it may take longer. but even when it feels that nothing at all has actually happened, you may be surprised at just how much has changed, and this will be noticed in subtle shifts in perception and sense of wellbeing especially when you look back at how you were before you started using self-hypnosis. The key is not to have any firm preconceptions and to allow time for the process to work. As with anything practise makes perfect and the more you make time to use the CD the easier and quicker you will find you are making the changes you are looking for.
Is it guaranteed to work?
Simple answer is NO. Hypnotherapy is only effective for about eighty percent of people but for that large percentage it does work for the results can be dramatic and long lasting.
Why hypnotherapy or Self Hypnosis?
The science of Hypnosis has been around for literally centuries but is only now recognised by medical practitioners in the National Health Service, where it is being successfully used to control a full range of conditions including cancer. For this reason the treatment can be much more effective, and produces longer lasting results than with many other alternative forms of therapy.
What are the immediate health benefits?
When Hypnotherapy is used for improving health, it can work positively on the way the body functions. Whilst in a state of hypnosis, it is possible to cause blood to flow better, veins to dilate, heart rate to reduce, and white blood cells counts to increase, and thus improving the immune system.
How and why does Hypnotherapy produce results?
The deep relaxation process will distract the conscious part of your mind, and while this happens, positive suggestions are made directly into the unconscious part of your mind. Will I be in control at all times?
Most definitely YES. Hypnosis is often misunderstood thanks to stage shows and Hollywood films. You are always aware. Hypnosis can be broken at any time, you will still be able to hear everything, respond to others and be fully conscious to attend to anything that you need to.
What if I fall asleep?
Falling asleep is a natural symptom of being extra relaxed but you are always aware and your subconscious mind will have absorbed what it needs to. Many people liken the experience to dozing in front of the TV with their eyes closed. You know exactly what’s on and what’s going on but you are so relaxed you just let your mind drift.
Can I combine several sessions at the same time?
The Mind-sync stress relief session can be combined with any other titles, but if you are using these, leave at least an hour between each one, so that your mind can have enough time to assimilate and digest the information. Ideally, though, it would be better to resolve one issue before attending to another, as the mind can be overloaded with information, and this could reduce the effectiveness.
Are there any people who should not use Hypnotherapy or Hypnosis?
People who suffer from schizophrenia, paranoia, depression, any psychosis or are violent, cannot use our service. If you suffer from persistent or chronic symptoms, such as high or low blood pressure, you must consult your doctor or practitioner for advice.
