The Christmas Tree Festival is one of the most popular events held in Furness, staged in the impressive red sandstone St Mary’s Parish Church, Dalton-in-Furness, the festivities run until the end of December. A pine aroma fills the Victorian Church. Truly, a little Christmas magic.
The trees are decorated by the nearby schools, charities, local businesses and groups. There is a small bucket underneath each tree into which, the represented charities hope the public will donate pennies to help their cause.
The trees are on display every Friday, Saturday and Sunday until the end of December, from 2 pm – 6 pm.
