Music Makes You Smarter – Click For Details : )

Established in Southampton in 1981 by Clive Brooks BA (Hons). A respected music teacher and author, Clive began his musical career back in 1973. He went on to tour England and Europe in a variety of bands and has written a number of books and magazine articles on music. One such title was “How to form a Successful Band” for Virgin Books.

More recently, Clive has been the music-making columnist on the national computer magazine PC Home, where he wrote about emerging music technology.

Clive is a leading multi-instrumentalist, and while teaching many thousands of people to play guitar, bass, drums and keyboards in his schools, he realised that music had traditionally been over-complicated and set out to correct this. After considerable development over a number of years, Clive introduced his unique “Easylearn” courses, which have now successfully been used to teach over 10,000 people to play rock and pop music.

Clive and his team have operated pop schools in the Southampton area, and after many years of concept innovation and development, a Franchise Package was launched. Now the network has become the fastest growing pop music schools chain in the UK. Today, Clive is actively involved in the Franchise Programme as Managing and Technical Director. Clive’s Easylearn Pop Music Schools also won the HSBC Award for Enterprise at the recent British Franchise Awards in 2007.
